"Welcome back to OilyFloury! If you've ever tried making a noodle burger and had it completely fall apart in the pan, you are not alone. I’m Fozia, and today I am sharing my ultimate guide to shaping and frying instant noodle burger buns so you get a flawless, golden crunch every single time!

Method
- Making My Signature Ramen Buns
- Boil the ramen noodles according to the packet instructions, but keep them slightly al dente (do not overcook them, or they will turn mushy). Drain the water completely.
- In a mixing bowl, let the noodles cool slightly. Whisk in the beaten egg, sesame oil, and half of the seasoning packet. The egg acts as the perfect glue to bind our buns.
- Divide the noodles evenly into 4 small bowls or ramekins lined with plastic wrap. Press them down firmly to flatten them into perfect round bun shapes.
- Cover with plastic wrap, place a heavy object (like another bowl) on top to compress them, and chill them in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Searing the Ramen Buns
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
- Carefully unwrap your chilled noodle discs and place them in the pan.
- My Top Secret Tip: Do not flip them too early! Let them fry undisturbed for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until they form a beautiful, solid, golden-brown crust that stays together. Remove and set aside.
- Cooking the Juicy Patties
- In a bowl, gently mix the minced meat with soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Shape into 2 flat patties that are slightly wider than your ramen buns.
- In the same skillet, sear the patties for 3 to 4 minutes on each side. During the last minute of cooking, place a cheese slice over each patty and cover the pan with a lid so the cheese gets beautifully melty.
- Assembling the Masterpiece
- Take one crispy ramen bun disc as your base and place a fresh lettuce leaf on it.
- Place your hot, cheese-covered patty directly over the lettuce.
- Add a thick slice of fresh tomato and drizzle a generous spoonful of sweet-savory teriyaki or BBQ sauce across the top.
- Crown it with your second crispy ramen bun disc and serve hot with a cold drink!
