Making Shroom Tea The Recipe of My Grandmother

Whenever my mom makes pizza and adds mushrooms to it, I keep a few mushrooms before adding them to the pizza because I love the taste and aroma of mushrooms. I learned how to make mushroom tea from my grandmother. My grandmother is an expert in making all kinds of tea. Here I share the recipe of my grandmother.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 decaffeinated tea bags
  • 2-3 grams (1-2 tsp) of dried mushroom
  • Honey or sugar (optional)
  • Lemon juice or ginger (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Dried mushrooms: Take the dried mushrooms and cut them into thin chunks using a knife.
  2. Brew the tea: Boil 2 cups of water and add 2 decaffeinated tea bags of your choice to an empty cup. Pour the hot water over the tea bags and add  (1-2 tsp) of the mushroom cuttings to the cup. Let it steep for 15-30 minutes.
  3. Strain the tea: After steeping, strain the tea using a coffee filter. You can put mushroom cuttings again in the cups.
  4. Add sweeteners (optional): If desired, add honey or sugar to the tea to improve its taste.
  5. Add lemon juice or ginger (optional): For a healthier alternative, try adding lemon juice or ginger to your shroom tea. Lemon juice can help to mask the taste of the mushrooms while ginger can help to soothe your stomach.
