Recipe for delicious frozen paratha:

To make frozen paratha that can be stored in the fridge, follow these steps:

  1. Prepare the paratha dough as you normally would. Knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic.
  2. Divide the dough into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
  3. Roll out each ball of dough into a thin, flat circle, about 6-8 inches in diameter.
  4. Make a thin strip with the help of a knife. Then put all strips in a long position, stretching. Make a round dough by twisting each. Then roll out it again and make a thin circle with the help of a rolling pin.
  5. Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat.
  6. Cook the parathas one at a time on the hot pan. Cook for about 30 seconds on the first side, then flip and cook for another 30 seconds on the other side.
  7. Remove the paratha from the pan, and place it on a plate to cool.
  8. Repeat with the remaining dough balls until all the parathas are cooked.
  9. Once the parathas are cool, place them in a single layer in a freezer-safe container or plastic bag.
  10. Label the container with the date and store it in the freezer.
  11. When you’re ready to use the parathas, remove them from the freezer and let them thaw in the fridge overnight.
  12. The parathas can be reheated in a hot pan or on a griddle until they are warm and slightly crispy. Serve hot with your favorite curry or chutney.

Caution:

Do not apply too much force while rolling with a rolling pin, otherwise, the layer will be compressed and the paratha will not open much after cooking.
