My Favorite Refreshing Mohabbat ka Sharbat: The Ultimate Karachi-Style Summer Drink for 2026

One day the weather was quite hot, and I went to a famous market in Karachi. There, a vendor on the way was shouting out loudly: “Get Mohabbat ka Sharbat, cold pink sharbat!”

He was selling that same famous pink milk drink which had fresh, small chunks of watermelon floating in it. The heat was so intense that I couldn’t resist seeing that cold and refreshing glass. As soon as I drank a full glass, my heart felt at peace and the coolness rushed through me.

Carrying that same taste and memory back home with me, I thought why not make that same “Mohabbat ka Sharbat” for my family members as well. Now I often make this same cold and delicious watermelon shake at home for everyone, and everyone loves it so much!

Notes

Pro Tip:Texture and Prep Secret: For the most authentic street-style look and texture, dice your watermelon chunks as small and uniform as possible, and keep them chilled in the refrigerator until the very last second before folding them into the milk. Adding them just before serving prevents the fruit from releasing too much excess water into the pitcher, ensuring your pink milk stays creamy and your red chunks retain that perfect, distinct crunch.
