  • -Doodh Milk ½ Cup
  • -Sirka Vinegar 1 tbs
  • -Maida All-purpose flour sifted 2 & ½ Cups
  • -Namak Salt ½ tsp
  • -Baking powder 2 tsp
  • -Makhan Butter 150g (room temperature)
  • -Bareek cheeni Caster sugar 1 Cup
  • -Anday Eggs 4
  • -Vanilla essence 2 tsp
  • -Cocoa powder 4 tbs
  • -Doodh Milk 3 tbs (room temperature)
  • -Cooking oil 1 tbs
  • -Baking powder ¼ tsp
  • -Chocolate syrup

Equipment

  • 1 Small Jug or Bowl
  • 1 Medium Mixing Bowl
  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 Secondary Mixing Bowl
  • 1 4 x 11-inch Loaf Pan

Method
 

  1. Directions:
  2. -In a small jug,add milk & vinegar,whisk well and let it rest for 10 minutes.Butter milk is ready!
  3. -In a bowl,add all-purpose flour,salt and baking powder,mix well & set aside.
  4. -In a bowl,add butter & beat until creamy.
  5. -Add caster sugar & beat well.
  6. -Add eggs & beat well.
  7. -Add prepared butter milk,vanilla essence & beat again.
  8. -Gradually add dry ingredients & beat until well combined.
  9. -Now divide the batter in 2 portions & reserve half of white batter for layering.
  10. -In second portion,add cocoa powder,milk,cooking oil,baking powder & beat until well combined.
  11. -Grease 4 x 11“ loaf pan with cooking oil,lined with butter paper,add both reserved white batter & cocoa batter alternatively with the help of a ladle and tab few times.
  12. -Drizzle chocolate syrup and make swirls with the help of the skewer.
  13. -Bake in preheated oven at 170 C for 40-45 minutes (on lower grill).
  14. -Let it cool.
  15. -Cut into desired slices & serve!

Pro Tip:The Tip: Ensure your milk is at room temperature before adding the vinegar. If the milk is cold from the fridge, the butter in your batter might seize (clump up) when you add the liquids, leading to a dense cake. Room temperature buttermilk ensures a silky, emulsified batter that rises perfectly.
